MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013532 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'cleaning assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. D Ramya Dorai.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cleaning assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine the presence of garbage on the surface, a sensing module to determine dimension and material of present garbage, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 3 configured with a motorized clamp 4 to acquire a grip over the garbage, an extendable L-shaped bar 5 to position a metallic curved member over the garbage for sweeping-up the garbage, a tactile sensor to detect hardness of the surface, a plurality of extendable pins to extend and sweep the garbage and a plate 8 configured over a telescopically operated L-shaped pole 9 and installed with an electromagnetic strip 10 to attract minute metallic particles from the surface."
