MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311082783 A) filed by Ram Pal Basra, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 5, 2023, for 'cleaning device for felt or wire in paper making machine.'

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The cleaning device (101) is a three-side closed structure used for the purpose of cleaning the felt or wire of the paper making machine. The unwalled part of the cleaning device is covered with the flexible cover sheet (19) to protect it from contamination during its working. An arm (2) is movable attached to the unwalled side of the cleaning device which is moved with the help of sprocket (7) and chain (8) system. An head is mounted on the arm (2) of the cleaning device (101) which of equipped with two sets of nozzles (15). The first set of nozzles has nozzles with the orifice diameter of 0.5mm to 1mm and the other set of nozzles have orifice diameter of 0.2mm to 0.6mm. The arm (2) is fixed in such a manner that it always faces the felt or wire. The cleaning device is further equipped with the roller (3a) and track (3) to which the cleaning device can be manually slid and can be cleaned while the paper machine is still working."
