MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011285 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'cleaning tool holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cleaning tool holding device, comprising a vertical platform 1 configured with suction cups 2 for adhering platform 1 on wall, a camera 3 mounted on platform 1 for capturing images of surrounding of platform 1 to detect type of cleaning tool that to be hanged, a speaker 4 for guiding user to correctly orient tool, multiple clamping units 5 arranged on platform 1 for hanging tools, an ultrasonic sensor is mounted on platform 1 for detecting thickness and height of tool, a hinge integrated within clamping unit 5 for diverging/converging clamping unit 5 to provide grip on, a motorized slider 6 to translate clamping unit 5 at an optimum height to maintain gap between tool and surface, a moisture sensor mapped on the platform 1 for detecting presence of moisture on the tool, and a dust sensor for detecting presence of dust on tool."
