MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441036861 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 9, 2024, for 'client, server and method for handling messag service in wireless network.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments herein disclose messaging-communication capability in 5GS. The method supports to store and forward of messages based on a sender UE (100a) request and an availability and reachability of a recipient UE (100b). The method supports a mechanism to update the store and forward parameter per message by a message initiator if a client (110) wants to ensure the delivery of the message to the recipient UE (100b). The client (110) further informs the server (200) to discard the stored message as the user or the client is no more interested to deliver the stored message to the recipient UE (100b). The proposed method is used to manage the stored messages at the server (200) to enable the client (110) to update or discard the stored messages."
