MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014314 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'cloth hanging assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth hanging assistive device, comprising a platform 1 affixed with wall of an enclosure by means of multiple suction cups 2 arranged with the platform 1, an imaging unit 3 installed over the platform 1 to determine presence of a user in the surroundings, a proximity sensor installed over the platform 1 and synced with the imaging unit 3 to monitor distance of the user from the platform 1, multiple telescopic rods 4 configured with the platform 1 each by means of a motorized hinge joint 5 to orient one of the telescopic rod at a pre-defined angle followed by actuation of the rod to extend for enabling the user to hang a cloth over the extended rod, and multiple Red LED lights 6 installed over the to emit red light in order to indicate the user to not to hang more clothes over the rod."
