MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087594 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'cloth ironing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth ironing assistive device, comprising an L-shaped frame 1 positioned on a ground surface and installed with a platform 2 constructed with a pair of elongated members 3, a cloth to be ironed is accommodated over platform 2, a camera 4 detecting dimensions and type of cloth, a motorized hinge 5 configured between members 3 for tilting members 3 away from each other in view of allowing user to comfortably accommodated trouser, an inflatable unit 6 paired with an air compressor actuated by microcontroller for inflating unit 6 in view of stretching cloth in order to allow user to appropriately iron cloth, and a microphone 9 enabling user to give voice commands for flipping platform 2 for actuating a motorized ball and socket joint 10 configured between frame 1 and platform 2 for flipping platform 2 in order to allow user to iron other side of cloth."
