MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019291 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'cloth stitching assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachin Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth stitching assistive device, comprising a pin-shaped body 1 installed with a sewing machine, a camera 3 configured on the body 1 for detecting color of the cloth, a color sensor positioned on the body 1 for detecting color of the thread, a speaker 4 attached with the body 1 for notifying a user regarding inaccurate color of the thread, a set of motorized bearings 5 configured within the opening 2 for translating and inserting the thread within the opening 2, a proximity sensor positioned within the opening 2 for detecting presence of the thread, an iris lid 6 embedded within the opening 2 for gripping the thread within the opening 2, a microphone 7 positioned on the body 1 for giving voice commands by the user for cutting the thread and a telescopic link 8 configured with the body 1 attached with a blade 9 for cutting thread."
