MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097189 A) filed by Basf Se, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, on Oct. 8,for 'coating composition and coated tablet.'
Inventor(s) include Agnese, Thorsten; Cech, Thorsten; and Guth, Felicitas.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A coating composition useful for coating tablets, such as compressed tablets, caplets, pills, capsules, confectionary or seeds comprises an opacifying amount of crospovidone having an average particle size of less than 10 m. Crospovidone having an average particle size of less than 10 m is used as opacifier and white pigment in a coating of a coated tablet for replacement of titanium dioxide."
