MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010079 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'collapsible car parking system.'

Inventor(s) include Aishwary Awasthi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A collapsible car parking system, comprising a body 1 positioned on a ground surface, a user-interface installed on a user's computing unit accessed by the user for initiating a request for parking the vehicle inside body 1, an primary imaging unit 2 for determining vehicle dimensions, a pair of plates stacked on one another and connected by hinge joints 4 to deploy the body 1 for accommodating user's vehicle, multiple hydraulically powered unit 5 which extend/retract for supporting plates with respect to ceiling to stabilize deployed state of body 1, an extendable platform 6 for extending towards vehicle to allow the vehicle to enter within the body 1 by driving through platform 6, a holographic projector 7 to project virtual image of vehicle within the body 1 to guide the user to park vehicle, a piezoelectric material fabricated on platform 6 to generates potential difference between ends of platform 6."
