MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013278 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'collapsible garment showcasing device for stores.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A collapsible garment showcasing device for stores, comprising an extendable frame 1 configured with collapsible links 2 developed to be positioned within a shop's enclosure by means of suction cups 4, an ultrasonic sensor determining distance between rod and walls to extend/retract in a manner for positioning suction cups 4 in close proximity to wall, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 determining dimensions of enclosure for actuating multiple pin joint 7 for expanding links 2 for forming a panel-like structure within enclosure, multiple hangers 6 each configured with a pop-out ball enabling a concerned person to hang multiple garments on hangers 6, multiple LEDs (Light Emitting Diode)s for providing an ambient lightening conditions to enhance overall look of garments to attract a glance of customers and a speaker 8 mounted on frame 1 for providing an alert notification to concerned person to replace defected garments."
