MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019427 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'comb management device.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A comb management device comprises of, an elliptical hollow body 1 developed to accommodate head portion of a comb and attached with a semi-circular member 2 for accommodating a handle 3 attached with the body 1, an artificial intelligence-enabled imaging unit 4 for detecting presence of the head portion and handle 3 of the comb in the body 1 and member 2, a motorized hinge 5 for flipping the primary plate 6, multiple pores 8 for passing the bristles, a telescopically operated pusher 9 to extend for pushing the comb head towards the secondary plate 7, a vibrating unit for generating vibrational sensations to allow passage of bristles, and a laser acuity sensor for detecting thickness of the bristles, an iris lid 14 for gripping the bristles firmly, and a microphone 10 to give voice commands for cleaning the bristles and a telescopically operated link 11 to extend."
