MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075003 A) filed by Panasonic Intellectual Property Corporation Of America, Torrance, U.S.A., on Aug. 6, for 'communication apparatus and communication method for multi-layer transmission.'

Inventor(s) include Ding, Yanyi; Motozuka, Hiroyuki; and Urabe, Yoshio.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a communication apparatus and a communication method for multi-layer transmission, the communication apparatus comprising: a module, which, in operations, is configured to generate a signal comprising two or more transmission layers, each of the two or more transmission layers carrying a data stream, wherein the data streams carried in the two or more transmission layers are configured with different sets of transmit parameters but directed to a single second communication apparatus; and a transmitter, which, in operation, transmits the signal to the single second communication apparatus."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/SG2023/050855.
