MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059409 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on June 20, for 'communication method, apparatus and system.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to the field of wireless communications, and in particular to cell selection and cell reselection in a wireless communication system. Provided are a communication method, apparatus and system, which can solve the problem in the prior art whereby cell selection parameters cannot match service rate requirements supported by a terminal, thereby improving the communication quality. The method comprises: a network device determining one or more groups of values of cell selection parameters, wherein there is an association relationship between the one or more groups of values of the cell selection parameters and one or more pieces of service information; and the network device sending the one or more groups of values of the cell selection parameters."
