According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A communication method and apparatus, and an electronic device and a medium. The communication method is applied to a terminal, and the method comprises: taking a frequency band combination as granularity, and reporting, to a base station, option information corresponding to the frequency band combination, wherein the frequency band combination comprises at least two frequency bands, and correspondingly, the frequency band combination comprises at least one frequency band pair formed by combining the at least two frequency bands; and the option information is used for representing a sending manner supported by each frequency band pair and/or each frequency band in the frequency band combination. A base station can be effectively enabled to learn of an uplink transmitter switching capability of a terminal, thereby ensuring the reliability of uplink transmitter switching and frequency band switching of the terminal."
