MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527075661 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 8, for 'communication method and communication apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided in the present application are a communication method and apparatus, which are used for solving the problem of a user equipment (UE) failing to access a network by means of a trusted non-3GPP access network. The method comprises: when a UE is registered to a core network by means of a trusted non-3GPP access network, the UE generating identification information, which can uniquely represent the UE, and sending same to a TNGF; and the TNGF associating the identification information with a corresponding TNGF key. In this way, after subsequently receiving identification information which is sent by a UE, a TNGF can accurately determine, according to the identification information, a TNGF key corresponding to the UE, so as to establish a secure connection with the UE by using the TNGF key corresponding to the UE."
