The method comprises: generating a piece of first channel information, the first channel information comprising K segments, K being an integer greater than 1, the length of each segment among the K segments being less than or equal to a first threshold value, the type of the first channel information being truth value channel information, and the first channel information being any one of the following: a channel response, an eigenvector matrix of a channel, a precoding matrix, a reference signal receiving power, or a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio; and transmitting some or all of K pieces of uplink control information (UCI) to a network device, the K pieces of UCI respectively comprising the K segments. The solution of the embodiments of the present application can be applied to communication systems having an AI/ML function, enabling network devices to acquire channel information having relatively high precision."
