MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092362 A) filed by University Of Leeds, Leeds, U.K., on Sept. 26, for 'composite.'

Inventor(s) include Gleeson, Helen Frances; Hine, Peter John; Hussain, Mariam; Jull, Ethan Isaak Luke; Mandle, Richard; Raistrick, Thomas; Reynolds, Matthew; Paterson, Daniel; and Mistry, Devesh Arvind.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A composite comprises a plurality of particles interspersed within an elastomer, wherein the elastomer is an auxetic aligned nematic liquid crystal elastomer. Another composite comprises first and second outer layers and an interlayer between the first and second outer layers, wherein the interlayer comprises an auxetic aligned nematic liquid crystal elastomer."
