MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517051784 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd.; and Lg Chem, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 29, for 'composition for forming electrode protection layer for lithium secondary battery, and electrode and lithium secondary battery including same.'

Inventor(s) include Kwon, Soonho; Cho, Woohyung; Park, Sungbin; Kim, Ki Hwan; Koh, Jongkwan; Park, Eun Kyoung; Choi, Hyunju; Yang, Heemyeong; Song, Intaek; and Kang, Joon Koo.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention pertains: to a composition for forming an electrode protection layer for a lithium secondary battery, wherein the composition suppresses heat generation or ignition caused by external shock etc., thus making it possible to provide an electrode and a battery having excellent conductivity and rate characteristics while maintaining excellent stability; a lithium secondary battery electrode including the composition; and a lithium secondary battery including the composition."
