MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517076384 A) filed by Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Aug. 11, for 'compressed air energy storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Koyama Masaki; Nagata Shuhei; and Chiba Kotaro.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a compressed air energy storage device comprising: a compressor driven by an electric motor; a pressure accumulation tank that stores compressed air compressed by the compressor; an expander driven by the compressed air stored in the pressure accumulation tank; a generator driven by the expander; and pneumatic supply piping for supplying the compressed air to a pneumatic apparatus driven by air pressure, wherein the compressor compresses air to a pressure exceeding a predetermined pressure set higher than a pneumatic usage pressure for driving the pneumatic apparatus, supplies the compressed air exceeding the predetermined pressure to the expander to generate power, and supplies the compressed air at a pressure equal to or lower than the predetermined pressure to the pneumatic apparatus through the pneumatic supply piping."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/045809.
