MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058453 A) filed by Malcolm, Roger, J, San Clemente, U.S.A., on June 18, for 'compressive force accommodating headgear and method.'

Inventor(s) include Malcolm, Roger, J.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A body-worn device (40) for accommodating compressive forces on the head of a wearer. The device can include a rigid brace (42) spanning the head (10) in a substantially hat brim orientation. The brace can include a pair of extension arms (44a, 44b) extending laterally and posteriorly away from the temples. A posterior tensioning member (51,52) places the free ends (45b, 46b) of the arms under a laterally medial compressive force resisted by the rigidity of the brace, avoiding compression on the temple region of the head, thereby increasing comfort."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/080601.
