MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544007756 A) filed by Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., Tokyo, on Jan. 30, for 'compressor unit of cryocooler.'
Inventor(s) include Yokodo Takayuki; and Ootani Yuuki.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To provide the energy saving properties of a cryocooler (10). A compressor unit of the cryocooler, includes a compressor motor, an inverter (60) that converts, into drive power of the compressor motor, AC power input to the compressor unit from an external power source, a transformer (62) that converts the AC power into drive power of a cold head of the cryocooler of which a voltage is different from a voltage of the AC power, and a control panel (50) on which the inverter (60) and the transformer (62) are mounted. The transformer (62) may be disposed below the inverter (60)."
