MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411009443 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 12, 2024, for 'concrete pillar construction assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Priyanka Tripathi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A concrete pillar construction assistive device, comprising a frame 1 configured with disc 2 installed with a set of plates 3 arranged in an X-shaped structure over a structure pre-installed over a ground surface, a ring 4 installed within an opening carved on each of plates 3 in which rebars are accommodated, a camera 5 for detecting dimensions of structure, an expandable pulley arrangement 6 embedded within disc 2 for increasing/decreasing diameter of disc 2 for positioning free-ends of plates 3 near edges of structure, which is gripped by a motorized clamp 7, a laser acuity sensor positioned on rings 4 for detecting diameter of rebars, a motorized iris lid 8 embedded within rings 4 to close for gripping rebars, a computing unit accessed by user for inputting diameter of pillar, and a motorized slider 9 for translating rings 4 to maintain an optimum distance between rebars."
