MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441036744 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 9, 2024, for 'configuring and performing mobility and conditional mobility.'

Inventor(s) include Aby Kanneath Abraham.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a method and User Equipment (UE) (103) for managing mobility in a telecommunication network. The method includes the UE detecting a radio link failure in either a Master Cell Group (MCG) or a Secondary Cell Group (SCG). Upon detection of such a failure, the UE initiates the transmission of failure information-either MCG failure information or SCG failure information-to a network apparatus. Concurrently, the method includes stopping the evaluation of Conditional Link Termination Management (CLTM) for the MCG when the transmission of MCG failure information is initiated, and stopping the evaluation of CLTM for the SCG when the transmission of SCG failure information is initiated. This invention enhances the robustness and reliability of mobility management in telecommunication networks by ensuring timely and appropriate responses to radio link failures."
