MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095720 A) filed by Koito Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 6, for 'control device for light-distribution-adjustable lamp, vehicle lamp, and software program.'

Inventor(s) include Noda Keisuke; and Sawada Hirotaka.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A control device (300) generates a control image (IMG1) for controlling a light-distribution-adjustable lamp (210). The control device (300) acquires light shielding information (ROI) that indicates a light shielding part, which is a region in which light is to be shielded. Among a plurality of first pixels (PIX1) included in the control image (IMG1), a portion corresponding to the light shielding part has a pixel value of zero. When the control device (300) gradually changes the pixel value of the first pixels (PIX1) in the control image (IMG1) from zero to a target value, the speed (a) of increase of pixel value in a first section (T1) after commencement of gradual change control is lower than the speed () of increase of pixel value in a second section (T2) that follows the first section (T1)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 06, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008565.
