MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621025034 A) filed by Kpi Green Hydrogen And Ammonia Private Limited, Surat, Gujarat, on March 3, for 'control integrated water quality and thermal management system for industrial scale alkaline electrolysis based green hydrogen production plants.'
Inventor(s) include Sathyajit Shaji.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a control-integrated water quality and thermal management system (100) for industrial-scale alkaline water electrolysis plants. The system (100) comprises a water treatment plant (200) including a primary reverse osmosis unit, RO-I (210), a demineralization stage, a reject collection tank, and a secondary reverse osmosis unit, RO-II (220), forming a closed-loop recovery architecture. An alkaline electrolyser stack (300) having a process-water inlet (301) receives treated water monitored by staged conductivity sensors (501). A thermal management system (400) includes a hybrid cooling arrangement (410) with a dry cooling subsystem (411) and an evaporative cooling subsystem (412). A programmable control unit (600) coordinates operation of RO-II (220), the hybrid cooling arrangement (410), and at least one flow-control element (610) to maintain inlet conductivity and stack temperature within predefined limits, thereby ensuring stable electrolysis operation and controlled water utilization."
