MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547094042 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Sept. 30, for 'controlling sounding reference signals for positioning.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "There is provided an apparatus comprising means for determining a time period of a forthcoming collision of one or more sounding reference signals for positioning with one or more other signals or channels, whilst the apparatus is in an inactive or idle mode and whilst the apparatus is operating outside of an initial bandwidth part; means for, in response to the determining the time period of the forthcoming collision, switching the apparatus to operate in the initial bandwidth part before communication of the one or more other signals or channels; and means for dropping one or more symbols of the one or more sounding reference signals for positioning scheduled during the switching."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 01, 2024, under International application No.PCT/FI2024/050080.
