MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025568 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'convertible mobility aid device for injured person.'
Inventor(s) include Jayanand Manjhi; Manisha Rastogi; Vinay Kumar; and Rishabh Chitranshi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A convertible mobility aid device for injured person, comprising a pair of rectangular frames 1 installed with a curved-shaped member 2 positioned in contact with underarms of an injured user, a handle 3 configured with the frames 1 gripped by a user for handling the frames 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the frames 1 for detecting the user's height, a microphone 5 positioned on the frames 1 to give voice commands for converting the frames 1 to wheelchair, plurality of extendable plates 6 installed with the frames 1 to construct an L-shaped structure for allowing the user to sit over the structure and a holographic projection unit 7 is mounted on the frames 1 to guide the user in walking on the ground surface."
