MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023588 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'cooking assistive device for microwave.'
Inventor(s) include Ratish Kumar; and Mohit Ranjan Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cooking assistive device for microwave that comprises of a curved circular lid 1 installed with multiple suction cups 3 installed over periphery of the lid 1 to affix the lid 1 with microwave turntable plate for the microwave, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed over the lid 1 to determine positioning of the lid 1 over the food item, a chamber 5 configured with the lid 1 and stored with water, an motorized iris opening 6 to maintain appropriate moisture level of the food item, a pressure sensor installed over inner periphery of the lid 1 to monitor pressure of the steam and multiple iris apertures configured with the lid 1 to open in view of releasing the steam, an sensing module to monitor cooking condition and odor of the food item and a temperature sensor to monitor temperature of the food item."
