MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079713 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'corroded nut unscrewing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Arvind Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A corroded nut unscrewing assistive device comprises of an elongated body 1 having a first and a second end gripped by a user to position a ring 2 configured with body 1 over a corroded nut to be unscrewed, a camera 3 for detecting diameter of the nut, a motorized iris lid 4 embedded within the ring 2 to close for gripping the nut within the ring 2 in a secured manner, an electronic nozzle 5 attached with a chamber 6 for dispensing a lubricant on the nut, a corrosion sensor for detecting level of corrosion on the nut, a heating unit configured with the ring 2 for heating the nut at a decoded temperature, a color sensor to detect color of the nut and a speaker 7 to notify the user to break the nut."
