MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069432 A) filed by Svolt Energy Technology Co. Ltd., Jiangsu, China, on July 21, for 'cover plate and lithium battery.'
Inventor(s) include Xia, Tianjun; Liu, Jing; Yan, Huailei; Shen, Liangjun; and Xin, Xueqian.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the present application are a cover plate and a lithium battery. The cover plate comprises: an upper plastic body, the upper plastic body being provided with a sealing part, and the upper plastic body and a glossy aluminum sheet being in sealed connection by means of the sealing part; and a sealing ring, the sealing ring abutting against the hole inner wall of a post hole in a lower plastic member. The present application is provided with the sealing part and the sealing ring, and after the cover plate is assembled, the sealing part can seal the gap between the upper plastic body and the glossy aluminum sheet, so that during a production liquid injection process, even if electrolytes contaminate upper plastic bodies, the electrolytes cannot pass through gaps between the upper plastic bodies and glossy aluminum sheets to pollute the glossy aluminum sheets, thereby avoiding a series of subsequent problems, such as the problem of electrolytes contaminating lower plastic members via post holes in glossy aluminum sheets and the problem of affecting the casing voltage of lithium batteries."
