MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511133376 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'cozyconnect cup: an interactive cup system for remote emotional engagement.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Deeksha Ahuja; Ms. Akshita Singhal; and Ms. Siddhi Agarwal.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an interactive cup system for remote emotional engagement. The Cozy Connect Cup comprises a pair of mood-sensing smart mugs that are used for people who are busy all day or long distance relationships to stay emotionally connected while staying miles apart. The mug detects grip pressure, movement and skin temperature to analyse the user's mood or emotional state, conveying this through light or vibration to the connected mug. The mugs paired directly through Wi-fi. They are charged through portable USB. Cozy Connect Cup facilitates short "voice ripples" which allows emotional sound signals to be exchanged, developing new ways to share presence and care between users."
