Abstract: CROSS-SLIT AMC INTEGRATED HIGH GAIN CIRCULARLY POLARIZED CROSSED-DIPOLE ANTENNA FOR L-BAND ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a low-profile, high-gain antenna assembly for navigation. The assembly integrates a circularly polarized crossed-dipole radiator with an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) reflector surface. The radiator employs tapered elliptical arms and a vacant-quarter ring phase shifter to achieve wideband circular polarization from a single feed point. The AMC surface consists of a periodic array of cross-slit unit cells designed to provide an in-phase reflection coefficient, enabling the radiator to be positioned at a sub-wavelength distance from the ground plane. This configuration achieves a compact physical profile while maintaining high radiation efficiency, broad axial ratio bandwidth, and high gain across the GNSS L-band. The invention is particularly suited for applications requiring lightweight and space-efficient antenna solutions without compromising electromagnetic performance. (FIG. 1)
