MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020752 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'crown molding maintenance assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A crown molding maintenance assistive device includes an body 1 crafted with a handle 2 gripped by a user to position a platform 3 in direction of crown molding, an ultrasonic sensor monitors distance of body 1 from crown molding accordingly a drawer arrangement 5 integrated with body 1 provide extension to body 1 for affixing platform 3 with wall surface via suction units 6, an imaging unit 7 determines condition of clown molding, in case of damaged condition, a sliding unit 8 installed over platform 3 positions a sharp plate 9 in proximity to crown molding, an rod 10 installed between plate 9 and sliding unit 8 extends to enable the plate 9 to detach damaged crown molding, in case of uneven condition, an bar 11 installed over sliding unit 8 extends to position a roller 12 in contact with crown molding to perform smoothening of uneven crown molding."
