MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527033561 A) filed by Sedivention Gmbh, Strasslach, Germany, on April 5, for 'cryogenic ablation device.'

Inventor(s) include Milanovic Gilbert; Thibault Benoit; Mihalik Teresa; Charbonneau David; Tremblay Andre; and Delaloye Stephane.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The cryogenic ablation device of the present invention uses a first distal balloon and a second proximal balloon mounted on a shaft. The proximal balloon is used to position the distal balloon and the distal balloon which is also called cryogenic balloon is supplied with a cooling medium to perform the cryo ablation. The shaft is used to bring the balloons to the intended position within a patient and provides multiple lumens for example for supplying media to the proximal balloon and the distal balloon respectively."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 18, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/075647.
