According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention achieves a cutting mechanism that contributes to an improvement in the cutting performance of a film material. This cutting mechanism (61) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is used in a winding machine (1) that winds a film material (2) into a roll shape and cuts the film material (2) by moving a cutter (66) in the lateral direction of the winding machine (1), the cutting mechanism comprising a guide mechanism that guides the cutter (66) in the lateral direction of the winding machine (1), a drive mechanism that moves the cutter (66) in the lateral direction of the winding machine (1), and a holding mechanism (65) that holds the cutter (66) at a preset initial position. The holding mechanism (65) includes a first magnet (65a) provided to the cutter (66) and a second magnet (65b) provided to a portion of the winding machine (1) where the cutter (66) stops when the cutter (66) has moved, and the first magnet (65a) and the second magnet (65b) are magnetically connected at the initial position."
