MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421021591 A) filed by Upl Limited, Maharashtra, on March 21, 2024, for 'cyrstalline forms of saflufenacil and process for preparation thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Chhatre, Ajay Sadashiv; Kini, Prashant; and Dhadphale, Amita.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to novel crystalline forms of N-phenylimide compound. More particularly, the present invention relates to solid forms of 2- chloro-4-fluoro-N-[isopropyl(methyl)sulfamoyl]-5-[3-methyl-2,6-dioxo-4- (trifluoromethyl)-3,6-dihydropyrimidin-1(2H)-yl]benzamide (Saflufenacil) and to a process for the preparation thereof."
