MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019645 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'damage prevention system for vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A damage prevention system for vehicles, comprises a cuboidal body 1 developed to be installed on each door panel of a vehicle, multiple suction cups 2 are arranged underneath each of the bodies 1 for affixing with the panels in order to secure the bodies 1 on the door panels, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on each of the bodies 1 to determines presence of any obstacle in proximity to the bodies 1, a proximity sensor mapped on the bodies 1 for detecting distance between the obstacle and vehicle, a motorized sliding unit 4 installed on each of the bodies 1 for providing an upward motion to a plate 5 attached with the sliding unit 4 in a manner that results in covering of window of the door panels, and multiple suction units arranged on plate 5 for affixing with the window in order to shield the window."
