MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517039638 A) filed by Uop Llc, Des Plaines, U.S.A., on April 24, for 'dehydrogenation and pyrolysis product recovery with a common depropanizer.'

Inventor(s) include Ghosh, Sudipta; Balyan, Prashant; and Zhu, Xin X.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process and apparatus integrate recovery of propylene from a pyrolysis reactor and a paraffin dehydrogenation reactor. A common depropanizer fractionates propane feed and pyrolysis reactor effluent to provide a C3 stream. A dividing wall may be used in the column to prevent cross contamination by the pyrolysis effluent with the propane dehydrogenation feed."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/080909.
