MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004737 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'dentures management device.'

Inventor(s) include Vivek Kumar Garg.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dentures management device, comprising a cuboidal hollow body 1 segregated into multiple compartments 2 dedicated towards storage of dentures of different user(s), a motorized door 4 configured with each of compartments 2 for allowing user(s) to place dentures within one of compartments 2, a primary camera 5 mounted on body 1 that is activated by microcontroller for capturing multiple images of user, a UV (Ultraviolet)-based sanitization unit 6 configured at a ceiling portion of each of compartments 2 for emitting UV radiations in view of sanitizing dentures, a secondary camera 7 for detecting dimensions of each of dentures, a telescopically operated rod 8 equipped with brush 9 for positioning brush 9 in contact with dentures, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 10 for providing bi-directional motion to rods 8 and an electronic nozzle 11 attached with water chamber for soaking dentures FOR preventing warping of dentures."
