MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441011617 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 20, 2024, for 'determining pose of user wearing head mounted display device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments disclosed herein provide a method for determining pose of a user wearing Head Mounted Device (HMD device) (1600), from an XR scene comprises determining, by the HMD device (1600), a plurality of objects in the XR scene captured by at least one camera associated with the HMD device (1600), determining, by the HMD device (1600), at least one static object and at least one dynamic object available in the plurality of objects of the XR scene, detecting, by the HMD device (1600), a motion of the HMD device (1600), determining, by the HMD device (1600), a change in a position of the at least one static object and a change in a position of the at least one dynamic object based on the motion of the HMD device (1600) and a plurality of frames and determining, by the HMD device (1600)."
