MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080769 A) filed by Ziehl-Abegg Se, Kunzelsau, Germany, on Aug. 26, for 'device for cooling the electric motor of a fan, fan, and method for cooling the electric motor of a fan.'

Inventor(s) include Maurer, Tobias; Loercher, Frieder; and Seifried, Daniel.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a device for cooling the electric motor of a fan with air, wherein during operation the fan generates a pressure difference between the inflow side and electric motor and the outflow side and wherein the pressure difference is used to guide cooler ambient air from the outflow side to the electric motor."
