MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010131 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 30, for 'device for covering caravans.'

Inventor(s) include Rakshith Racha; Ayush Gour; Sukhdeep Kaur; Rajkumar Rajbhar; and Dr. Sanket Badiyani.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for covering caravans, comprising a body 101, a plurality of suction units 102 for stable attachment to a caravan roof, a motorized rolling and unrolling arrangement to form an extendable canopy for camping or luggage protection, a sensor suite to monitor conditions around the caravan and adjust automatically, a rainwater collection and filtration unit for collecting, storing, and purifying rainwater for later use, a weather forecast and sensor fusion module that predicts environmental changes, an imaging unit 115 to detect animal presence in surrounding areas, a deterrent module to prevent wildlife interference, a speaker arrangement 116 to emit audible deterrents such as modulated sounds, a light emission assembly 117 to emit visual deterrents such as flashing lights, or reflective patterns, and at least one hook 105 for engaging ground surfaces, thereby stabilizing the canopy during windy or uneven terrain conditions."
