MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202444095472 A) filed by Hon Yu Auto Parts Co. Ltd., New Taipei City, Taiwan, on Dec. 4, 2024, for 'device for generating a warning light indicating a door is about to open.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for generating a warning light (C) indicating that a door of a vehicle (A) is about to open includes a warning module 3 and a sensing module 4. The vehicle (A) includes a side-view mirror module 1 mounted on a side of the vehicle (A) and a door latch module 21 operable to open the door. The warning module 3 is mounted on the side-view mirror module 1 and includes a light-emitting element 30 and an activation signal receiver 33. The light-emitting element 30 generates a warning light (C) when activated. The activation signal receiver 33 is connected to the light-emitting element 30 and receives an activation signal and activates the light-emitting element 30 in response to the activation signal received thereby. The sensing module 4 is mounted on the door latch module 21, detects whether a finger (B) of a person is within a predetermined sensing range, and generates the activation signal when it is detected that the finger (B) is within the predetermined range."
