MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056949 A) filed by Premium Fertility SL, Paterna, Spain, on June 13, for 'device for introducing a fertilised egg or embryo.'
Inventor(s) include Santamaria Costa, Xavier; Simon Valles, Carlos; Freitas, Rhys; Badal Regas, Ari; and Hunt, David S.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a device suitable for introducing a fertilised egg or embryo into the maternal uterine endometrium. The device comprises an elongate body comprising a distal tip and a bore extending therethrough to an opening in the distal tip. The bore is designed to receive and expel the fertilised egg or embryo through the opening. A plunger is designed to be slidingly received inside the bore. The distal tip comprises a perforating portion for perforating the maternal uterine endometrium, and the opening is concave."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/ES2023/070678.
