The control unit (202) may include a processor (302) and a memory (304) storing instructions to receive the presence data and the corneal-reflection data, generate a continuous-engagement state when concurrent active viewing of a display screen occurs, and actuate the alert module (106) when a duration of the continuous-engagement state exceeds a usage-duration threshold to prompt a mental rest interval."
