MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547059051 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on June 19, for 'devices, methods and apparatuses for uplink transmission power control.'

Inventor(s) include Deghel, Matha; and Laddu, Keeth Saliya Jayasinghe.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for uplink transmission power control. A terminal device obtains a power indication from a network device, wherein the power indication indicates whether the terminal device is allowed to use a transmission power greater than a threshold. Based on the power indication, the terminal device determines the transmission power for one or more uplink transmissions. Therefore, the transmission power for the uplink transmission may be well and dynamically controlled, thereby improving communication efficiency and communication performance."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 17, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/082159.
