MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013934 A) filed by Anjani Kumar Gupta, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'digital advertisement(s) reporting system for online streaming video platform/over the top (ott).'

Inventor(s) include Anjani Kumar Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The system is related to digital advertisement reporting system that is exclusively designed for viewers who use our affiliated mobile application. The service is available only to users who have given their explicit consent and voluntarily wish to report advertisements while watching streamed videos. Whenever a viewer is watching a streamed video on their mobile device, and a commercial advertisement appears, our affiliated mobile application will generate a random shape (such as a square, triangle, or circle) on the screen. This shape will be positioned in the upper left, lower left, upper right, or lower right corner, ensuring maximum visibility of the advertisement. The placement and color of the shape will be dynamically managed by back-office software. To report an advertisement, the viewer simply needs to tap the shape on the screen, which will then disappear. The system allows users to report all, partial, random, or specific advertisements as per their preference."
