MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020728 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'dining sheet laying device.'
Inventor(s) include Mandeep; Madan; Tanish; and Rajinder Minhas.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dining sheet laying device that comprises of an U-shaped rectangular frame 1, associated with the device, developed to be positioned on a dining table, and installed with a pair of in proximity to legs of the table, multiple air blowers 12 configured with the frame 1 for blowing hot air to eliminate moisture from the table, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on the frame 1 for capturing and processing multiple images of the table, a roller 4 configured with the plates 2 for translating and positioning the roller 4 in proximity to edge of the table, a pair of motorized clippers 7 for gripping a free-end of the sheet 6 and a pair of secondary motorized sliders 8 configured between the frame 1 and clippers 7 for translating the clippers 7, and a robotic arm 13 for cutting unwrapped sheet 6 via a cutter 14."
