MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517022704 A) filed by Oyster Point Pharma, Inc., Princeton, U.S.A., on March 13, for 'dispenser configured for aseptic transfer of a liquid product.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A drug delivery system includes a container comprising a luer compartment and a fluid compartment, a luer fitting arranged within the luer compartment and in fluidic communication with the fluid compartment, and a dispenser in fluidic communication with the fluid compartment. A method of aseptically transferring a drug to such a drug delivery system may include providing a vial comprising the drug to be transferred, withdrawing a volume of the drug from the vial with a syringe, coupling the syringe to a drug delivery system via the luer fitting, transferring the drug from the syringe to the drug delivery system, and decoupling the syringe from the drug delivery system."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 16, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/030327.
