MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514034905 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 9, for 'display apparatus and electronic device.'
Inventor(s) include Youngmin Cho; and Woosuk Jang.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display apparatus (1) and an electronic device (20) include a display panel (50) 5 including a first area (1A) that is foldable and flat and a second area (2A) that extends from the first area (1A) and is curved, an optical functional layer (42) on the first area (1A) and at least a portion of the second area (2A) and having at least a portion which is curved, a first cover member (11) on the optical functional layer (42) and overlapping the first area (1A), a second cover member (12) on the first cover member (11), overlapping the first 10 area (1A) and the second area (2A), and having at least a portion which is curved, and a housing (90) in which the display panel (50), the optical functional layer (42), the first cover member (11), and the second cover member (12) are accommodated."
